Hi.
13:01I haven't been blogging as much as I thought I would.
Le sigh.
I frequently get the feels or means to but somehow it collapses.
...
But I'm here now and that's what matters
(Wow. That's a clichéd line. But very relevant.)
So, I thought I'd just fill you in on some of what's been going on with me.
This post could be lengthy, maybe not, I'm just writing as The Lord leads me.
The past couple of weeks have seen me actually leave my house other than Sunday for church. My friend Anita could not hide her joy (she's hilarious). (Not really).
1. I went to this really cool bar 'Be @ 1' for a friend's 18th.
I loved it and wanted to go back as soon as I left. They have a cool 'appy hour' (happy hour on an app. I know right - so East London), which we used, so drinks were 2 for £9.50. I got a Woo Woo and Porn Star martini and boy oh boy did Grace enjoy (that's me).
The bar plays great music and the staff are HOT and super-friendly and didn't even complain when my friend slipped on the drink she dropped then literally crashed into a wall and then lay on the floor for a bit.*
I would one hundred percent recommend that you visit the place.
2. I went to Regent's Park with a whole bunch of mates and some new people that I met there for an annual game of American football.
I was told I was so random when I mentioned this to someone but hey. *puts on shades*.
It was great and painful - tackling the boys was like throwing yourself at a concrete wall - but totally worth it, because MY TEAM WON.
3. My church held another one of its weekend youth event and it was AMAH-ZUNG.
That may sound biased but it really was sick.
Friday was chilled out vibes with everyone split off into 3 age groups and we had little skits performed and discussions in relation to peer pressure and self-worth.
Saturday was a drama production dealing with the aforementioned issues and was just a blessing.
Sunday was an inspiring service by one of our youth leaders and it was so good to just sit and take in what was said.
4. I went to All Star Lanes in Brick Lane for a 20th birthday and I left there with swollen fingers and a slightly strained arm, so you know it was an amazing time.
I destroyed my opponents.
Just saying.
Our area was private and it was so pretty and cool. It was quite large, with a bar and 3 lanes.
I might go there for my birthday, it was so fun and I would also totes recommend.
5. Yesterday I went ice skating in a Streatham and thank God it's refurbished because the way it used to be was not the one. But this one is really nice and modern and just a good time.
I think that's it...
Oh, you're probably wondering where the pictures are.
Well ha! *laughs uneasily* They're just over here. Let me go and get them.
*the funniest thing I have witnessed to date probably. I wrote that in a fit of laughs. I wish everyone ever could have seen it.
