My First Time

I didn't know what to expect.

I was a bit excited.
I wasn't nervous because I had prayed too many times to be anything but positive.

The guy's really cool, Italian so he's got that certain oomph.
He's passionate about what he does which is infectious for not only me but the whole class.

My first lecture went quite well. Really well. Quite great actually.

The film of discussion for the year is 'Blue Velvet' which we watched and it was soooo dodge. Like, it's so weird but obviously that makes for great debate which I look forward too.

I was expecting my course to be full of really pretentious people, like 'oh you haven't watched 'Citizen Kane'? *kermit the frog picture* or 'the 'High School Musical' trilogy is not a great piece of American cinema' or something as equally eye-roll worthy.
Surprisingly and thank God, that isn't the case for the large majority so that is brill.

The second part of my first day consisted of me making films.
If that's not sick, I don't know what is.
Our group's camera didn't really co-operate but we made it through.

But all in all, I'm really happy with my course.
I'm a bloody film student now, run and tell that.

I note that some people might get a different idea of what I was talking about... What with the ambiguous title and two paragraphs... Or something.
